I'm a writer, a teacher (of philosophy and psychology),and a person who has come perilously close to death (twice), who is utterly delighted by my family, the magic of sunlight shining through leaves, good dancing, fascinating conversation, and the feel of water rushing through my hair.  I have a tendency to think too much, take on too many responsibilities, and worry over things that are beyond my control.  I am trying to learn how to relax, but all the while my husband keeps reminding me that true 'relaxation' is not something you can get to by either trying or learning…you just do it.  I have difficulty refraining from absent-minded singing while waiting at busstops or in line at the store, and I spend what some consider to be an inordinate amount of time laughing (although in my view there can never be too much laughter).
